How AH360 Content Licensing Works

Photos and video produced by AH360 Photography are licensed—not sold outright. Here's exactly what you can use, where you can use it, and when a new agreement is required.

Core rule: The original client uses the content freely to sell the boat. Any downstream commercial use by a third party requires a separate license.

Your Content License at a Glance

The original client receives broad usage rights to advertise the vessel. Commercial use by any third party always requires a separate agreement.

Included With Your Shoot

Use freely to advertise this specific vessel. No additional license or payment required.

  • YachtWorld, Boat Trader, and all MLS listing platforms
  • Your brokerage website and individual broker profile pages
  • Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, and TikTok posts for this listing
  • Print and digital marketing materials promoting this vessel sale
  • Email campaigns and direct outreach for this listing
  • Boat show displays and in-person presentations

When a New Agreement Is Required

These uses involve parties not covered by the original booking. A separate license is required before use.

  • A different broker or brokerage relisting the same vessel
  • Equipment or product manufacturers advertising with the content
  • Marinas, yacht clubs, or charter companies using content commercially
  • Media publications, blogs, or editorial use
  • Any commercial use by a party not part of the original booking

Not sure if your use is covered? Send us a message—we'll sort it out quickly.

Can my brokerage use the photos across all our listing platforms?
Yes. Your photos and video can be used across YachtWorld, Boat Trader, your brokerage website, your social media channels, and any other platform where you're advertising this specific vessel. The license covers all standard listing and marketing use for the boat we shot—no extra steps required.
What if another broker takes over the listing after the shoot?
The license belongs to the original client who booked the shoot—not the vessel. If a different broker or brokerage picks up the listing, they are considered a third party and would need their own licensing agreement to use the content. Contact us and we can set up a simple arrangement quickly.
Can the boat owner use the photos on their own social media?
If the owner booked the shoot directly, they have full use rights. If a broker booked the shoot, personal sharing by the owner (posting a photo of their boat on their personal Instagram, for example) is generally fine. Using that content to commercially re-list or promote the vessel through a different channel requires a separate agreement. When in doubt, ask us first—it's always a quick conversation.
A manufacturer on the boat wants to use the photos in their advertising—is that okay?
Not without a separate license. Equipment brands, electronics manufacturers, and any other company using the content to promote their own products are third parties. The original shoot license covers selling the boat—it doesn't extend to advertising products featured on it. Reach out to discuss commercial licensing options.
Do I need to credit AH360 Photography when posting?
Credit is appreciated but not contractually required for standard listing use. When posting on social media, tagging @steve360fishing helps the content reach more buyers in the fishing and boating community—which directly benefits your listing. What's not permitted is using the content commercially without the underlying license agreement. Credit doesn't replace licensing.
